This one poured a deep amber colour with a smooth, creamy off white head. Scents include a little ripe fruit, old attic and sweet malt. First swig was a little watery with flavours of must and nuts with a little ripe fruit. Finish is a little musty with malty flavours lingering.

12oz bottle from a Tops grocery store in Buffalo, NY. A gloden amber pour with a trace of translucent head; some grassy hops on the nose; sweet, malty body, but rather thin; and with a bready caramel finish. Very pleasant.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, slightly toasty malt and nutty notes. Sweetish caramelly malt flavor with bread, light toastiness, light fruitiness and a mildly bitter finish, a bit hoppy. Medium-bodied. OK but pretty boring.

This beer pours a clear copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, grain and a bit of hops. Light to medium body with flavors of grainy malt, caramel and light hops. The finish is short and sweet with a stale malty aftertaste. Slightly below average overall.

Tap at BCTC 2010. Pours light amber with a moderate, off white head. Decent malt aroma with some caramel notes. Flavor is fairly sweet with some light caramel and butterscotch notes, followed by some faint bitterness. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes with some nice bread notes and mild, lingering sweetness. Overall, just a bit above average.

A golden amber ale with a thin big bubbled off white head. In aroma, a sweet vanilla fudge, with butterscotch and strawberry notes. In mouth, a rather light caramel malt with a bit of buttercotch, watery and buttery. Cask at Syracuse Real Ale Festival, Oct. 25 2009.
