New Belgian Ale is a refreshing and very drinkable blond beer combining the hoppy bitterness and citrus caracter of an American Pale Ale with the typical flavors of Belgian yeast.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a hazy amber colour with hardly any head. Aromas of citrus and stoney fruits, marzipan with hints of caramel. Taste has citrus and subtle tropical tones. Hoppy and a little sour. Light body, slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Ok but not really my thing.

Clear blond colour with no head. Aroma and flavour definitely have obvious pineapple and a little fructose sweetness. There's a sharp element too. Perhaps from the passionfruit. Interesting but not my thing.

Sampled as Four Aces 2019 New Belgian ale #8 Almost no head; veiled copper-ochre beer. Fruitsyrup, gummi fruit sweets, marshmallows...ooops. Taste is thankfully a lot better, but it remains soapy-fruity perfumed. Doesn't really work in this type of beer. Fruitesters, finish yields pineapple and a bit of passion fruit. Medium bodied, bit fruit/wheatslick. Addition of real fruit.. quite OK, but it works better in a sour ale.

Donkergeel bier met weinig schuim i.t.t. andere reviews. Mogelijk te koud uitgeschonken. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig, licht zoet en iets fruitig met iets van meloen en passievrucht.

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! 2019 edition. Clear yellow, lasting, thin, foamy, white head. Aroma of melon, pineapple, peach, nectarine, bread, yeast, lemon, lime, vague butter, weird faint Ice Tea. Taste is medium fruity sweet, lots of peach, nectarine & pineapple, sourish lemon & lime accents, minor hoppy bitter notes of mandarin rind, yellow grapefruit, a tad piney, some bready malt. Dryish, floral hoppy finish, lingering peach, bread & yeast. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. A bit out of balance in its sweetness.

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: little fruity, apricots, some honey, floral notes, bit acidic. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: acidic start, pretty fruity, bit lemony, oxidized, some vanilla. Aftertaste: acidic, fruity, some lemon acidity, fruity touch, bit oxidized, some tropical fruits, passion fruits, soft bitterness, some pineapple, bit weird, not sure what to make of this one...

28/IV/19 - sample @ Zythos Bierfestival 2019 (Leuven), BB: n/a - (2019-609) Thanks to nathanvc, 77ships & Anke for sharing today's beers!
Clear pale blond to light yellow beer, small creamy white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: peach flavoured candy, very artificial chemical peach smell, sugary impression, probably because of the candy link. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: peach flavoured yoghurt, bit sugary, more artificial peach flavourings, yoghurt again, this is pretty bad… I don't know where this artificial impression comes from, hard to imagine it's the hops...

Fles thuis geprobeerd met Roelzie1986. Het is een troebel geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige wat zoete geur. De smaak is fruitig met een scheut passievrucht.

Bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of papaya, passion fruit, mango. Taste is fruity, tropical fruit, sweet bit not overly sweet, enough bitterness to counter it.
