Our “session” IPA that is meant to the IPA drinker who wants all that hop flavor but not all the alcohol. We use Centenial and Herkules hops in this brew and even more for dry-hopping. Works perfect with a day in a park.

can. about as average an IPA as I’ve had. Soured nose and weak, much more like a regular pale ale. Not terrible

Can. Perfumey floral hops aroma. Golden with a small off-white head, suspended sediment. Buttery caramel malt and floral hops flavor. LIght to medium body, soft carbonation.

From a bottle. Very bitter yet somewhat fruity hop experience. That bitter hop thing really leaves a bitter linger all over the back of yer throat, quite nasty but certainly on style. Has a thin rocky head. Yes, it does have some cutting co2 which makes it almost acceptable to a lager lover but don’t be fooled, this is a very bitter hoppy beer with lots of personality.

A blonde IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a sulfur malt with grassy hops, grainy. In mouth, a smooth British hops, grassy, not bad, but nothing special. Can at Mondial 2012, June 9 2012.

Can. Light orange and citrus peel aroma. Golden yellow with giant head. Lemon, stale barley malt and mild orange peel hops flavor. Okay but definitely below the average IPA. Never really considered 5.5% to be ’light’ alcohol either.

Sampled from a 12 oz can this beer poured a hazy orange-apricot color with a medium sized creamy white head that left some lacing. The aroma was floral, piney and grapefruity hops though a touch vague. The flavor was sweet and tangy with moderate floral and citric hops and light pine with a caramel undertone. Medium length mixed hop finish. Medium body. Decent.

Pour is a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is a nice citrus hops with some dry malt. Flavor is about the same. Bone dry malt with a small but decent hop there. Not the best IPA by far but decent and by far the best thing Atwater has put out.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a large sudsy head and aromas of soapy hops. Flavor is also pretty soapy with a little citrus and not much malt to play against it. It is very good for a 4.2% ABV beer, but I would rather have a few more horsepower.

Not a bad IPA, with a good noticeable dose of Cascade and Centennial hops. Still, the malts grow too sweet, with a heavy jolt of caramel that undermines the bitter finish. Finishes piney and clean; fairly easy drinking, not a hop-bomb but perhaps an IPA to please your wussy friends.

Can. Slightly hazy medium orange body, thick puffy off-white head. Grassy, spicy, leafy nose with biscuity malts. Weird body starts with a quick dose of watery tanginess before grassy, leafy bitter hops establish dominance. Very light toasty malts do little to carry the hops. An acidic, tangy, bitter and limp beer that showcases hops but does little to actually incorporate them into a coherent drink.
