Can. Pours a clear yellow with a bubbly white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grain and corn with a bit of hay underlying. Flavor is similar with corn and sweet grains throughout and a bit of hay backing.

Trader Joe’s getting into the malt liquor business I see. Very sweet, pretty strong alcohol, no balance. Kinda like a malt likka with a bit of that harsh alcohol taste, but the problem here is that with this much sugar and harshness it needs to be stronger to balance that off into a plausible malt liquor. So it’s neither a good swill lager nor a good malt liquor. It’s like when you try for a joke that isn’t that funny to begin with, and then you land it so poorly people get mad at you.

12oz can from Doug
Pours clear dark golden, small white head that dissipates to nothing, no lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, straw and honey. Taste is sour, banana, corn
Tastes like a malt liquor without the alcohol. Not terrible, but not very good.

Straight from can. Macro corn and biscuit aromas. Sweet and sour grass, corn, and hay upfront turning dry in the medium length cloying finish.

Cereal grains with some candy/vanilla sweetness, but heavy on the corn. Pure malt throughout, not a sign of any hops. Slick and sweet.

12 oz can courtesy of beastiefan2k. The pour is clear golden yellow with a fizzy white head that falls quick. The aroma is generic sweet malt, with a hint of earthy corn. The taste follows the nose, mostly about the sweet malt, thought the corn is pretty well integrated and subdued in the taste. The palate is light to medium bodied, course carbonation, and a sweet finish. Overall, clean enough, though a bit too sweet of a Lager for me.

Can. Perfume, cardboard, and malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet almost cloying barley malt flavor. Mildly bitter/metallic finish. Slightly better as it warms but not much.

Can from Trader Joes, pours gold with a thin white head. Aroma is mildly skunky with grass and pale grains. Flavor is hay, bready, not much else going on.

12 oz can. Poured a pale, golden color with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet malts, touch of corn, not a whole lot in the way of hops. Grass notes, relatively bland, not offensive, but nothing really spectacular either. Serve well chilled and it’s at least better than a typical macro.
