Left. Cloudy, pale golden color and a nice white head. Crisp. Grassy, faint malty, decent bitter with a touch of fruityness.

21 August 2018. At Turmbräu, Rothenburg. Cheers to Anke!
Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, small, frothy, off-white head; little lacing. Aroma of overripe orange, peach, banana, old bread, soggy cereal, basement, white sugar, sourdough perhaps, hay. It tastes medium fruity & malty sweet, balancing hints of old fruit, old bread & dank cheese; becoming light spicy bitter, a bit peppery with a yeasty, sourish accent (wheaty? Elderberry even?). Dryish, yeasty finish, grainy & bready. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy to lively carbonation. Immediately apparent that this is a Kellerbier, and confirmed to me by the brewer, so I'll send a correction. Anyway, it's decent enough, although I won't have this every day.

Had the Hellas after the weizen and I was shocked to see how similar they looked. Slightly darker, but just as turbid as the hef. Clearly unfiltered. Slightly sweet nose that didn’t show a ton of depth. The mouth is soft and modestly hoppy. Not as sweet for the style as I expect but again, not a ton of depth. Ok

Draught. Unclear pale golden colour. Semi-stable head. Fruity flavour, not dry. Good naturtrüb flavour. Low bitterness. Very drinkable. I also had a glass out of the fermenting tank (soup pot), which was a bit sweeter and softer, more flavourful.
