Can from Kisjes Slijterijen, Meppel. Aroma is strong rum and raisin with dark malt, oak, chocolate, alcohol, caramel, toffee, dried fruits, syrup, more rum barrel notes. Pretty sweet flavour with a sharp boozy sting, could be more smooth. Body is full with a sticky feel. Pretty rich with that big rum & raisin barrel aroma, not as smooth as I'd like with sharp booziness. Sweet, heavy, nice to sip on.

Big thank you to Erzengel for sharing. Black in the glass. Dark berry fruity, choco, roasted malt on the nose. Smooth. Taste is intensive roasted malty with choco, boozy, resin. Great stuff.

Thanks David I. Very dry caramelly beginning. Wood, sticky caramel, grain. Deep roasted, wood, grain and woody caramel. Great but in the aftertaste not as deep as could be.

Huge thanks to markoijelena for that one! Can looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Intense roasty malty aroma. Starts intense sweetish malty, roasty, loads of earthy, wood, brown sugar. Lacto background. Soft-malty finish. Not as sweetish as the beginning. Impressive!

Can shared in Canary Wharf - cheers to Kenny. Pours deep brown with a creamy, tan head. Rich and quite sweet, with some sugary chocolate, dark fruits, mild roast, toasted bread. Full bodied and a little chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming and lightly sticky to finish. Enjoyable.

14 December 2019. At 2nd Great Timternational Beer Tasting. Cheers to Ghent beer crew! Hazy black, lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma has lots of green apple (acetaldehyde), rum-soaked raisin, candied date, lactose, marshmallow, sugary mocha. Taste has sweet raisin, date, green apple again, chocolate maltiness with residual sugar (lactose), slightly bitter mocha & nuts. Dryish, malty, bit earthy hoppy finish with lingering lactose, raisin, still some green apple, expected warming rum-like alcohol. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. This didn't work for me, I might have to try an aged sample again sometime.

Dunkler, stark malziger Antrunk. Rosinen, Schokolade, erkennbarer Alkohol. Intensiv, die Malzigkeit bleibt prΓ€gend, die Laktose ist vorhanden, gerΓ€t geschmacklich aber in den Hintergrund. Langer, alkoholisch malziger Abgang. 10/11/10/11/14/11

Can split at the L6 Tasting Krismass Karnage Tasting, thanks to Kenneth, 19/12/19. Black with a tan head. Nose is chocolate cake, raisins, dried fruits, roast malts, toffee. Taste comprises fruit cake, rum barrel evident, chocolate, light spice, mellow roast, chocolate dipped raisins. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced alcoholic kick. Solid.
