(Draught at Billie's Bier Kafétaria, Antwerpen, 19 Oct 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, hazelnuts and maple syrup. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, sweet espresso, hazelnuts, caramel, toffee, maple syrup and a balanced coffee bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, sweet and warming. Powerful, but hides a fair amount of the 15% pretty well. Great beer!

Cute small can, which I like for a high abv beer like this. Pours absolutely black, small tanned head fades fast. Scent is coffee, sweet, roasty, mild maple like sweetness/coffee like aroma, bit toffee / caramel. Taste is super thick, dense, and wide. Loads of flavors combined exceptionally well. Coffee toffee, maple-like sweetness roasty, mild bitterness ( perceived value, probably high in IBU), sparkle higher carbonation than others in the genre, creating a more uplifting, slightly less heavy-on-the-palate kinda mouthfeel. Personal preference is heavy as can be, but I can see how many people would prefer this, as well as this being more rare nowadays. Very in balance. Noticeably strong ( in intensity) and a hard, sharp, alcoholic finish without ever getting even close to being boozy. This is premium stuff!

Bardzi fajnie poskladany, kawa, troche syropu, czekolada, orzechy, ma goryczkec jest slodki... alko czuc ale i tak niezle schowane. Glowny zarzut: nie jest gesty. No i sama puszeczka mnie rozjebuje, piekna sprawa :)

Canned, 250 ml, shared with Max, Miro B and kajser27. Black with brownish head. Chocolate, some fruity notes, coffee, cocoa, lots of maple, quite sweet with bitter finish. Oily and dense. Low carbonation. Full bodied. Warming. Very intensive and probably not easy to drink in larger quantity, can see why it comes in a small package.

Quite alcoholic even for the abv, yet still a bit thin body. Lots of maple and coffee. Pretty sweet but also has some dryness/bitterness. Good, but a bit disappointing considering the hype.

Can. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is maple forward with sweet dark grains and a slight coffee bite in the finish. Flavor starts with maple and sweet dark grains with coffee and roast supporting.
