New England IPA from this still young (2015) craft brewing company in Norway, can from BeerFreakChick shared by Jan at tderoeck’s place. Mousy, medium thick, eggshell-white, slowly dissipating head, ‘milky’ yolk-like yellow blonde robe. Aroma of raw pineapple, ripe gooseberries, olive oil, green mandarin, carambola, hint passionfruit, gin, diesel, crushed green peppercorns, kiwi. Sweetish onset, starfruit, unripe mango and granadilla aspects, juicy and softly carbonated, with a soft, smooth, in the end slightly powdery mouthfeel. A mellow doughy-cereally malt ‘soil’ is immediately aromatized by a brightly citric hoppiness, pomelo- and lime zest-like with hints of passionfruit and unripe mango, but not descending into overt ‘sultriness’ or dank tropical territory, remaining crisp, drying and tangy with a spicy bitterness to it which is accentuated by a gin-like alcohol glow. ‘Classically’ made double NEIPA, not too fruit juice-like and maintaining connection with the early stages in the development of the style – and in that sense one I can most appreciate. Delicious and exemplary for its style, in my book.

11/I/20 - 33cl can @ home, BB: 28/VIII/20 (2020-23) Thanks to Alengrin for sharing the can!
Cloudy bright yellowish beer, creamy bit irregular yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, lovely stuff, super dank hops, tropical fruits, really amazing, wow, this is good! MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very fruity, nice bitterness, bit sweetish, tropical fruits, grapefruit. Aftertaste: more tropical fruits, very dank, lychee, bitter finish, some lime notes, lovely stuff!

Can. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth airy palate, soft, reasonable fine carbonation. Light smooth malts, light creamy sweetness. Light smooth pine that turns slightly bitter - tangy. Savoury light citrus. Light semi dry finish. Not bad. Could have a sweeter malt base to round things off a bit, but a pleasing and easy drinking dipa.
