(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20211123) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate, spiciness, sweet malty bread and molasses. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, molasses, dark chocolate, spiciness, spearmint, pine and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, burnt and bitter. An interesting spicy brew with burnt notes.

Sabores maltosos y cereales tostados con toques especiados claros, ligeros cacaos y pequeños torrefactos. Bastante sensacion licorosa. Cuerpo medio, licoroso. Se esperaba algo más. Buena.

Black with dark head. Aroma has rosemary and liquorice and a slight toasted note. Nice oily texture. Flavour has slightly too much rosemary but this a beer that goes well with roasted meats or charcuterie.

33 cl bottle @ NISBWG ’20. BBE 18.05.2022 Aroma has strong spicy notes, salty licorice and herbal tones. Jägermeister? Flavour has strong herbal tones and salty licorice. Too jägermeister for me.

29 November 2019. At Billie's Craft Beer Fest. Cheers to the lovely Anke, tderoeck, 77ships & Ghent beer crew! Hazy black, lasting, very thin, beige head. Aroma of clove, pepper, black olive, herbs, walnut shell, fondant. Taste has sweetish bread, chocolate, fig, going over bitter clove, rosemary, toast & nutty accents. Dry, toasty, peppery hoppy finish, lingering toast & warming herbal liqueur alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Not bad but this is so weird actually, taste feels out of place.

Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo and consumed at home Attenkirchen Monday 30th December 2019 listening to Marc Riley on 6Music having just eaten home made Schnitzel and chips. Very good beer, a super Impy that isn't full of lactose or unnecessary flavours. Nice and toasty, roasty, bitterness but also dry. Creamy mouthfeel, sweetness but let me say this is not an overly sweet beerm, a little liquorice and dark chocolate. I really like this.
