She’s back, and this time she’s dressed up in her best puff-sleeved taffeta dress, crimped her hair and rolled herself in delicious black and red cherries, Venezuelan cacao nibs and vanilla, ready to pay homage to our favourite vintage dessert, Black Forest Gateau.

A rich, deep stout that combines six magical malts that work in harmony to deliver a smooth and sumptuous drinking experience. Powerful, robust and intriguing, this beer is packed with tart cherry, rich chocolate and vinous berry flavours, balanced with a creamy mouthfeel that will have you reaching for your space hopper before you know it.

Can from Cotteridge Wines; dark opaque brown pour with a thin light tan head, aroma has cherry and chocolate, taste has dark chocolate, rich malts, hint of cherry, doesn’t have the viscosity of other bearded lady variants.

Pours black, small white head. Smell is rather dry, roasty, chocolate. Taste is full, sharp, bit boozy, rather dry. Roasty, intense, dark chocolate. Not great, bit too boozy, thin and simple to me.
