Sakura Twilight is a fruited imperial stout. We carefully designed a lighter stout base to allow our secondary fermentation on Morello cherries to shine through. After fermentation we added cacao nibs to produce a highly drinkable cherry chocolate stout.

Tap at KEG. Oily black pour, no head. Nose is sweet booze, molasses, chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate, warming booze, somewhat dry cocoa notes, modertaley tart fruity touch. Closes with warming, somewhat sweet finish, has medium to heavy body and soft carbonation.

Bittermalziger Beginn mit Aromen von Schokoladenkuchen, Kakao, Vanille. Im Mittelteil ähnlich, wobei eine eh milde Herbe ganz verschwindet. Überraschend süffig, weich, langer Nachhall - nett. 10/10/9/11/11/10

440 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of vanilla, sweet chocolate fudge and slick roasted malts. Flavours follow same but with additional dark cherries that unfortunately are not integrated well with the base beer

Pours black, little bit of brown foam. Smells of tart cherries and some chocolate. Mouthfeel is OK, could be thicker. Taste is weird. Bit astringent, with the fairly tart cherries colliding with the chocolatey beer. All a bit weird, but not terrible.

Tight white head, fleetingly covering a hazy orangey-golden beer. Sour, sour orange, peach, unripe stonefruit, ever so faintly sweaty. Mild sour, lactic acid, fruitacids. Peaches are identifiable, but I'd never guessed blood oranges. Acidburn and -thinning, fruitslick. Not very carbonated. It's certainly not outstanding, the general sour flavours are indifferent, not enough outspokenly representing the fruit.
