Bottle. Pale blonde. Lemon and grassy notes in THE aroma. Dry, somewhat floral citric flavor. Some shy hopbitterness. Well brewed, well balanced blonde.

Roodbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is zoet en kruidig met iets van pruimen, karamel en stroop.

Licht geelgroen bier zonder schuim. Smaak is vlak met weinig nuances, licht zuur en fruitig met iets van citrus. Niet slecht maar heeft verder weinig extra.

Bottle sampled at Groote Witte Arend, Antwerp. Pours clear golden with a slightly off white head. Aroma of light grass, citrus, light yeast and malt. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Wheat beer commissioned by an Antwerp beer club, since 2002, packed per 12 in geuze bottles. Moussy, yellowish white, creamy and stable head, pale golden blonde colour, ochre and cloudy after adding the deposit. Doesn’t really look like a witbier and doesn’t really smell like one either: pils-like pale malts dominate, grassy hops, some coriander, sourdough, green apple, biscuit, cava, gingerbread but not much wheat. Fruity onset with citrus touch and long-stretching, sharp carbonation, pale malts with a touch of honey, again only subtle presence of wheat, spicy accents, dry sourish finish with grassy, medium hop bitterness. Thirst-quenching alright, but a witbier??

375 ml. bottle sampled @ Bier Central. I thought that I had tried this one already. Clear pale golden, okay white head. Smell is sweet lemon & wheat, fake, almost lemonade like, touch grass. Taste is very simply, not too heavy but not particularly enjoyable sugar water, watered down sweet lemonade lemon and heavy on the white sugar wheat, soap, slightly sweet BE yeast. Light body, fine carb. Very ehh, weak and sweetish in a bad way. At least they put some effort into the label, next time the beer.
