Bottle bought in Rome. Pours black, with a thin, fleeting head. Strong coffee aroma, with some molasses, cocoa powder, and some good leather and earth. Sweet and toasty, with a nice bitterness. Heavy body, with a thick, creamy mouthfeel. This is a strong, thick stout, especially for the ABV. Impressive.

Huge, dark beige to olive head, gone in seconds over virtually black beer. Dry coffee, mocha, melanoidins, roast, ashes. Dry coffee, ashy, a bit of paper/cardboard. Bit of cola flavour in the background. Not very well-bodied, bit watery even, but long-lasting flavours. More than reasonable beer, but nowhere as stellar as their Nerd Choice.

Thank you! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Gollem during "Italy Beerweekend - Roma Edition". Black with zero head. Nose oily molasses & very big on ice coffee, mocha, largely ice cofee. Taste is ice coffee, bit too heavy on vegetabel coffee as well, mocha, low licorice. Lacks carbonation, bit too vegetable heavy on the coffee spectrum, taste-wise but smell is nice, decent overall.

Tap at So Good in Rome-Italy. Black pour, gassy brownish foam with minimal retention. Nose: rich coffee, chocolate, milky hints. Mouth: raw licorice, roots, soft pepper.

Bottle in Rome hotel room, 23/09/16. Black with a handsome khaki cap. Nose is charr, chocolate, faint cardboard, black pepper, spice, toffee. Taste comprises chocolate malts, charr, spice, raisens, dark cocoa dusting, hint of fruit loaf, leather. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent stout.
