India Pale Ale first made its name in the 19th century. Here's hoping our pioneering IPA can make its mark too.
Its fervent hoppy character hails from the unique addition of large quantities of hops at three separate points during brewing. The result is a beer that's rounded yet refreshing, with delicate floral notes and oodles of zesty freshness.
Malt: I & G Ale Malt & Wheat
Hops: Goldings & Styrian Goldings
Maturation: Lightly toasted American oak heartwood in our Oakerators®

Hoppy nose. Clear medium golden colour, lot of activity in the glass, good frothy white head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma pale malts, light citrus, touch of caramel, grass. Smooth taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, very light citrus, light caramel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild sweetbitter aftertaste, grassy, more bitter hops and light woody notes in the finish, refreshing and pleasant.

0.33l bottle. Paaale yellowish golden, tiny white head. Herbal/vegetable industrial lager aroma, very soft sweetish barrel touch. Sweetish barrel/vanilla notes on top of a neutral lagerish body. Completely clean, dull, dunno. Technically a nice little slightly oaked golden ale. IPA this never was.

Bottled on March 2, 2017. Part of a blind tasting.Clear, golden color. White head. Light acidic, some grainy malty notes, hop lacking scent. Low bitterness. Malty, some vegetables, grainy, bitter taste. Some hoppy notes in the aftertaste. MEdium mouthfeel with lowish CO2.Blind tasted too see if this held up as an English IPA, I would’ve almost guessed it was some sort of lager or california common.

33 cl bottle. Pours sparkling clear pale golden. White head is thick but short-lasting. Aroma is conifer trees, pine resin, honey and a hint of ginger. Fizzy, fresh, medium-bodied, quite bitter and long-lingering.

Bottled 330ml. -from 8 a Huit Val Thorens. Pale golden coloured, small white head, mild malty nose. Sweetish malty, caramel, light hops, touch of wood and herbs with rather dry malty finish. Expected better one.
