Peppermint Stout

Dark bittersweet chocolate and bright green sparkling mint mingled together in this unique stout.

Selles õlles saavad kokku tume, mõrkjas šhokolaad ja roheline, värskendav piparmünt. Sobib suurepäraselt lõpetama uhket õhtusööki või siis ka päris omaette nautimiseks

Draught. Black colour, small head. Aroma is liquorice, lavendel, liquorice root and some herbal and fruity notes. Flavour is kind of fernet branca, which I dislike, a lot. But beer is not that boozy, which is good.

Smooth full bodied creamy mouthfeel, good easy drinking underlying solid stout. The peppermint is strong though, but manageable. Online etre bier

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20180704) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had toothpaste and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toothpaste, sweetness, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had toothpaste and bitterness. A brew that was difficult to drink.

Sampled draft @ TCBW 2018. Black, creamy mocha head. Nose is toothpaste, spearmint and chocolate. Taste is the same, thick syrupy. I don’t like spearmint, tastes like a good stout mixed with spearmint toothpaste for me.

33cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn. Pours close to black with a modest, beige head. Herbal and minty aroma with roasty notes, hints of caramel and molasses. Reminds me very much of Fernet Branca Menta, herbal liquor with a fair amount of peppermint. As other mint stouts I've tried has been more chocolaty and similar to After Eight, this one is much more herbal. Feels somehow medicinal in the cough sirupy way. Not a bad winter warmer.

Bottle from Hops, Järve. Pours quite dark brown with some brown foam on tip. Not overly carbonated though. Nose has some very clean and invasive peppermint, sort of like that chocolate with peppermint filling, quite intense. Can't really get anything else, this is really overpowering. Taste reveals relatively thick body - which is actually made to feel lighter because of this peppermint character. Lots of dry bitter chocolate and some bitterness there closer to the finish. Overall quite nice beer to be had, peppermint coming out quite strong, long bitter chocolate linger.
