Tap @ Delirium, Cologne. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dark bread, dried fruit and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. 070725

On tap at Craft Bier Bar Hamburg. Pours murky brown with a beige head. Cheap bourbon, bread, dried berries on the nose. Flavour has tons of cheap whiskey, dried berries. I expected more, for some reason; this is barely drinkable.

On tap at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark burgundy with minimal off-white head. There’s a delightful aroma of alcohol, wooden barrels, dired fruit and figs. In the mouth it is slightly sweet with a chewy texture. The alcoholic strength is immediately obvious in the flavour which also contains raisins, orange peel and dates, with hints of cherries and blackcurrants coming through later leading to a decidedly boozy finish. This is excellent !

Аромат очень приятный, шикарный букет темных фруктов, немного карамли, как будто сухофрукты, включая бананы. Цвет темно коричневый, пенка очень пышная, кстати пиво знатно так ёбнуло при открытие. Вкус по большей части темных фруктов. Сухофрукты уже идут далее, сливы и изюм. При глотке сильный алкоголь, он прям забивает бочку и общий финиш пива. А так богато, прям классика по вкусу.

Bottle shared by Kat S. at the Nov. 2024 PS tasting, 11/9/24. Dark red, medium off-white head, average retention. Aroma of honey, vanilla, spice. Taste is toffee, spice, caramel, vanilla, oak, apple, plum. Lingering spice. HIgh carb.

Bottle picked up from the large Delhaize nr Camping Memmling Brugge and shared with Nick, Anna, Sarah and Charlie Sunday 5th January 2025 at home. We've got a large Chicken and Chorizo Lasagna for tea later. Pours gold with a little bit of haze, nice aroma with a touch of honey amongst the yeasty spiciness, the bourbon barrel ageing is very well integrated. I think that I was a bit harsh with my review I'm going to up it slightly.
