Amber beer matured in oak bourbon barrels for 9 months. Scent vanilla, alcohol, spicy. Taste caramel, bourbon, vanilla, a hint of almond. Aftertaste: alcoholic, tones of wood, smoothly bitter.

Intensiver Beginn, süß, weniger malzig als gedacht. Spritzig, viel Holz, dadurch Noten von Vanille, milde Herbe. Trockener Abgang, wenig Körper angesichts des Alkoholgehalts. 9/9/10/9//9

Keg at the strait and narrow, Lincoln. Almost black colour with a tan head. Aroma is barrel aged, whiskey, malty and dried stewed fruit. Taste boozy sweet. And full bodied.

Fat på Delirium, Bryssel. Mörk kastanjebrun/svart med krämig beige skumpuck. Detta är en mörk belgisk strong ale och ingen stout. Bourbon, vanilj, kokos, fat, jäst, kandisocker. Sådär.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and light bourbon barrels. Flavour is quite heavy, with the bourbon barrels upfront, followed by candied sugar and Belgian yeast. The bourbon is there but too dominant. It lends itself well to the base beer. Very good.

4oz pour at Belgian fest comes a hazy garnet amber with some lacing white head. Nose has malt, booze, candy, not too much else. The flavor is sweet with malt, pitted fruits now, dates and raisins, candy, some spice. Finishes sticky and sweet. 7 3 7 3 12
