Dark brown with no head. Aroma of big peat upfront, peaty scotch, oak, butterscotch, caramel and toffee. Notes of overripe dark fruit and sweet dried fruits coming later. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with alcohol warmth in the finish and very soft carbonation.

Stunning, fascination alongside the Kentucky reserve 2015. peated smoke but smooth, 20+ year aged islay is the closest thing

Compared to the 2013, this one is much peatier. An improvement, in my mind, as it counters the oversweetness. Less mellow and smooth, though. Fun to see how different they are.
