Tap at Mikkeller Singapore. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting big frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel, liqouirce, charcoal, light alcohol. The flavour is light sweet, light liquorice bitter with a smooth, rich, roasty, slightly oily, liqouirce, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Strait and Narrow. So dark brown with a deep brown head. Lots of roasted aroma. Chocolate and coffee. Tate roasted bitter. Full mouth feel. Great smooth body. Love it.

On tap at the Beer Jerk Bunker. Pours pitch black with a long lasting brown head, looks fudge consistency. Caramel, rye bread, dried raspberry, smoke, pepper, grapefruit, strong cherry. Good thick body, not as fudgy as it looked. Very nice.

Bottle. Black with an inch + tan head. Aroma is roasty and pretty hoppy too, with citrus and pine, mocha, tar, licorice. Medium bodied, silken. Chocolate is more prominent in the taste and softens the palate a little. It's a beguiling mix of intense and broad with roasted, smoky and tarry flavours that are pointed nonetheless nestling in to context with sweeter and more docile. Hop notes are less prominent and just nip around at the end to clean up. Really good.

250 ml. Draft @ Gollem – De Pijp. Black with lovely deep creamy mocha head. Nose is amazing thick chocolate milk malt with light roast & cheese hops, surprisingly hoppy given the 8 malt concept apparently but yeah amazing balance & I think Sorachy Ace. Super thick with roasted malts & coffee but sweet mocha & chocolate overall really good sweet coffee & chocolate milk. Super good, thick, amazing balance & 100 % my personal taste.
