Legend has it the fishermen of Central America sought the Great Loggerhead Turtle in warm tropical waters. It was tribal belief that this powerful turtle, also known as the "Caguama", symbolized good fortune for the fisherman’s village. It’s our hope that you too will experience the good fortune of the "Caguama". Salud!

Clear 32oz bottle shared between three of us at BBQ on 10th July 2014. I had bought the beer for a laugh, as my son in law likes Central American peasant beers like Corona and Pacifico. This however was not to his liking, or mine for that matter. Weak urine colour with a white head for a second or two before it retreated into a wisp and collar. Grainy, metallic and nasty, not a great advert for El Salvadorian beer. Only buy it if you want the country tick (I did not need the tick and wish I had not bought it).

12oz bottle pours a completely clear straw gold with some fast fading white head. Nose is freaking nasty, grass, mint, pissy, stale malt, rancid corn, white flour. Tastes like a shitty third world lager, corn, rusty metal, grass, skunk, stale bred. Watery finish. Bad. Just bad.

Clear, pale gold, quick white head. Sugary grain aroma. Taste is grainy, sweet, malty. Truly? Not that bad....for what it is... (nice bottle and graphics, too.)

(bottle) clear pale yellow colour with a small white head; aromas of skunk (initially) then pretty much nothing; watery grassy flavour; I suppose this could be refreshing but is not much of a beer

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow color with a white head. Has a fruity grainy corn aroma. Fruity grainy cardboard flavor. Has a sweetish malty grainy corn finish.

Powerfully skunky corn smell with an added layer of cane sugar. Crystal clear yellow, thin head, no retention. Tangy sweet corn flavor. No hop flavor. Weak, but unoffensive. It brings back fond memories of my college days drinking cheap pitchers of Rolling Rock. This, is much skunkier than any Rolling Rock I have ever had. Pilsner?

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of malt, cardboard, lemons and funky stuff. Light-bodied; Mild taste of malt, a little hops and nothing else. Aftertaste of a little sugar and water. Overall, a bad beer-but what else is expected when you have a clear coloured bottle from El Salvador? I sampled this twelve ounce bottle pulled from a ’World 12 Pack’ given to me by JonR888710 on 02-July-2005.
