Julia’s Sunny Joy is a brewed aperitif with one clear objective: bringing the sun into your glass!
First, a tropical mixture of citrus aromas explode in your nose, generated by the unique combination of Simcoe and Citra hops.
Second it’s all about the crisp and clean palate of this bottom fermented lager.

Bottle at 't Mouterijtje Kortrijk. Slight haze pale gold colour lasting white head. New brewery to me. And to the barman as well. Some yeast esters. A light frothy lemon lime accented blond. Some bitterness on the finish. Light but tasty. Refreshing. Good use of hops to give a lively lemon lime citrus fruity taste and finish. Good bitterness too. I liked it muchly

33cl bottle from Spar Oostende. F: big, snow-white, good retention. C: blonde, hazy with some yeasty debris. A: orange, tangerine, floral, pineapple. T: light malty base, orange, grapefruits, bit pineapple, quite bitter for 24 IBU, bit higher carbonation, not bad, enjoyed.

Pours clear, yellow. Medium white head, medium to medium low stability. Smell is bit citrussy, mild breadyness from the malts. Mild phenolic touch as well. Refreshing impression. Taste is relatively high in bitterness. Phenolic touch, but very in balance, as well as mild citrus touches from the hop. Carbonation is medium high, but works 100 % in this specific beer. Bready base by the malts. Refreshing beer, easy drinkable and simply made very well to what it is supposed to be.

Clear pale blond to light yellow beer, small dense creamy off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit grassy, malty touch, fruity notes, some peaches. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: citrus touch, bit soapy, malty, metallic, unpleasant bitterness, reminds me somehow of an alcohol free beer. Aftertaste: more, metallic, soapy bitterness, little fruity, bit malty, bitter and grassy, metallic finish, wet grains, not very good...
Paired very good with a spicy meaty cheesy spinach pizza!
