Aromas of citrusy marmalade, flavours of oranges and soft crystal malt notes, with a long, hoppy, dry finish. First brewed in 2005 for a local beer festival which featured Oakham’s team dressed up as soldiers travelling to India through the Khyber Pass in order to drink India Pale Ale! Khyber Pass returns in 2019 with an updated recipe featuring 100% British hops. Fuggles and Goldings are joined by an exciting new experimental hop variety – so new that it still goes by its development name and number “Experimental 212”. Colour: Pale Amber Hops: Jester, Harlequin, Bramling Cross (all UK) Malts: Maris Otter and Crystal Malt Colour: Pale Amber Allergens: Contains Gluten

Pours a clear amber colour with a coppery tint and a small near white head that settled to a thin layer. A sweetish aroma, malts, marmalade and citrusy hops. A moderately sweet taste, sticky marmalade and sweet malt flavours and a pithy citrus hop bitter finish.

Cask at Beerhouse, Market Harborough. Golden brown with a bit of head and a touch of lacing. TCP and malt loaf in the aroma with notes of dried grass. Bitter taste with the flavour of overstewed iced tea, some astringency. Big leafy bittering hop in the finish. Zero carbonation but the body's fairly full. Not up to the standard of Oakham's best but certainly enjoyable.

Gravity caskat Maidstone BF. Browny copper, slight haze, Oakham distinctive nose, bit maltier and deeper than their blonde beers. Slightly spicey in mouth, finish is spicey hop
