Clear orange blond beer, big creamy white head, pretty stable, a bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: gentle smoky character, malty, some smoked ham. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit malty, good bitterness, nice smoky character, grains, hoppy, some citrus, good malty backbone, nice one! Aftertaste: nice smoky touch, a bit sweet, malty, pretty bitter, a bit herbal, grassy, slightly sour, zesty, nice one!

Van het vat bij Greifenklau Keller. Iets mistig diepgouden/licht amber kleur, witte kraag. Licht rokerig, moutig, broodkorst, medium zoet, licht plakkerig, iets bloemig, fruitig, degelijk bitter, grassig. Lichte body. Lekker.

tap at the brewery Bierkeller, accompanied by Wirsingbraten. Golden colour, tall white head, very creamy. Shy smoky nose. Medium-bodied, grainy-bready malty base, a good amount of aromatic hops with a resiny-herbal feel, plus a decent but not overpowering amount of smoke. Smooth palate.

Tap: Golden, bit unclear, creamy white head, mild pale-malty and grainy nose with an even milder sweetish wood-fire background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied and a bit fizzy; lingering sweet-bitter finish with an even milder smoky touch. O.K., well drinkable…

Draught @ Greifenklau, Bamberg. Pours hazy orange with a small creamy head and lacings. Lots of sweet marmelade, Smoke and phenols. Appley green and woody.

500ml vom fass at the brewpub. Foamy pearl white head. Cloudy orange coloured body. Subdued smoked malts on the nose joined by grassy hops. Moderate smoked malty taste, bacon-like, with hints of caramel and grass. Fine bodied. Soft, fresh, nice and likable (Bamberg 12.10.2014).

Fra fat på bryggeripuben 12 Okt 14. Gyldenbrun/aprikosfarget. Høyt luftig skum med kremtopp. Pen kniplingslacing. Behagelig røykaroma. Smaken er bacon & pølse. Litt syrlighet i ettersmaken.

At Greifenklau. Lightly to moderate smoked beer. Sweetish. Decent smoked beer, some cured bacon flavour.
