Inspired by one of our favorite treats, Dragon’s Milk Reserve: Oatmeal Cookie is carefully aged with cinnamon, oats, brown sugar, raisins, and Madagascar vanilla extract. The familiar flavors of a freshly baked oatmeal cookie make an excellent pair with the rich, warm bourbon notes of our signature barrel-aged stout.

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 9/19/2019. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, raisin, cinnamon, bourbon, toasted oak, nuttiness, biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, coffee, molasses, licorice, smoke, char, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Minimal booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, cinnamon, raisin, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, raisin, cinnamon, bourbon, toasted oak, nuttiness, biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coconut, coffee, molasses, licorice, smoke, char, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, roast, charred bitterness; and bourbon/oak/cinnamon spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, raisin, cinnamon, bourbon, toasted oak, nuttiness, biscuit, brown bread/crust, coconut, coffee, molasses, licorice, smoke, char, leather, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cinnamon, raisin, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet, and bourbon/oak/cinnamon spiciness balance; with no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 11%, with zero lingering barrel booziness after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic barrel aged flavored imperial stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cinnamon, raisin, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon barrels, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/spicy/tannic/drying finish; awesome soft/silky feel. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, spices, raisins, brown sugar, and bourbon barrel presence/integration; with mild earthy hops and fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding experimental style example as expected. Tastes just like the cookies. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tannish head. Aromas of brown sugar, root beer, vanilla, spice, and soft sweet roasted malts. Flavors of raisin cinnamon buns, pancake syrup, vanilla, and sweet roasted malts. Cinnamon is quite present but adds a bitterness that would otherwise make this one too sweet. No hint of the ABV

12 oz bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Red raisin, cinnamon, bourbon, molasses aromas. Flavor cinnamon, raisin, molasses, vanilla, bourbon, cocoa, even suggesting oats (probably mostly the cinnamon). But this is really reminiscent of an oatmeal raisin cookie, and it's really tasty.
