(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity, vinous nose with dried fruit, caramel, oak wood, prunes, toffee, spices and dark rum. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate, oak wood, rum, vanilla, coconut, brown sugar and a balanced spicy bitterness in a vinous and warming finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Solid, warming and well made. Great beer!

From a a big bottle courtesy of Nephew Nick. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Aromas of toffee and barrel. Flavors are mostly sweet with some nice hoppiness in the finish.

750 mL bottle. Pours a nearly black red color, with a light tan head. Sticky raisin, molasses, toffee aroma. Silky texture with low carbonation. Flavor of raisin and molasses/brown sugar, oak, toffee, caramel, and some spice as it blends with the rum. Pretty nice!

Bottle shared at Rich's. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent light tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, tangy, dark fruits, jammy, cherry drops, raisin, date, prune, black forest gateaux, dried fruits, fruit cake, black bubs, eccles cake and rum & raisin ice cream. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, rum & coke, dried fruits, plum, prune, raisin, date, prune, fruit cake, plum pudding, light spice, Dr Pepper, cherry cola, caramel, some warming booze and light oak tannins with a soft, fruity finish. Fulsome body and moderate, carbonation. Soft, fruity and rounded. Fun stuff.

Bottle at Wodan tasting. Dark red-brown color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, caramelized malts, brown candy sugar, liquor so I guess rum? Flavor is malts, soft roast, candy sugar, caramel notes, rum, some herbs or spices, a bit sweet and nicely bitter in the finish. Full body, medium to full carbonation. This is very nice. Lovely beer.

Mild soft smooth and intense brew. Rum, plums, wood. Hints of roast, liquid liquorice. Deep sticky. Fantastic dark fruitiness, rum, wood, extremely deep. Great brew.
