Practitioners of Falun Gong (a qigong meditation focused on moral philosophy, energetic exercises, breathing and promoting living in harmony) were perceived as a threat by the Chinese communist regime.
Since 1999 members were thrown into “re-education through labor” camps where they either renounced their beliefs or became the victims of torture, organ harvesting and execution.
Apart from forcing prisoners to lay face down in snow, throwing buckets of water on them in -20° environments, and having them stand almost naked in winter for 12 hour periods, Exposure (also known as freezing torture) had been the governments favored form of persecution.
In one instance a woman on hunger strike, was chained to a tree in winter. They returned the next day to find an icicle forming from her nose down to her feet.
As of 2009 it’s estimated that at least 2,000 members had been tortured to death.
Dry hopped with 100% Cryo* Mosaic and Citra

.
Earthy herbal notes push through the boozy nose, until a presence of star fruit, honeydew and nectarine pit make themselves known.
Initial cold hop bite of pine quickly dissipates to a balanced malt body, candied mandarin rind, strawberry jam, and key lime zest.

Murky orange colour, small white head. Overriped mango, apricot and some alcohol in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Tropical fruity, mango, sweetish, alcohol, citrus, touch of alcohol in the flavour. Decent drinkability for TIPA, not heavy, although alcohol kicks in a bit.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy orange golden , silky white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, tropical and some berries. Taste is fruity, light sweetness up front, tangerine, guava, strawberry. A light tingling bitterness grows slowly, becoming most evident at the finish. Not quite the hop bomb I was prepared for.

Very hazy golden and straw coloured body with a very large, three to four centimetre tall off-white creamy tan head that stays afloat for a long time above the 90 per cent opaque glowing body - very nice looking! Aroma of super dense honey, sugars, mangoes, papaya, guava and melons, with some alcohol noticeable on the edges, but this smells SWEET! Full-bodied; Very rich, syrupy and sticky sweet resinous notes show strongly with a light bitterness from grass and resin with a light piney kick as well, but a lot of rich fruit notes really come through with melons, papaya and mangoes all here, but the end really is about the deep alcohol bite - this does show close to the posted ABV (I feel like it's closer to 9 per cent, so hidden a little bit) and the pungent sugars that aren't very cloying. Aftertaste is rich, pungent, deep and pretty good for the style with light actual bitterness, strong sugars, nice fruit notes and a lot of alcohol, with a tiny bit hidden. Overall, a strong (of course) beer, but a nice set of flavours with some complexities and pungencies, but nothing cloying or off-flavoured - good to sample, it's still not easy to drink sixteen ounces of this, but seemingly possible! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from The Perfect Pour in Elkridge, Maryland on 25-October-2022 for US$8,50 sampled at my house here in Washington on 11-December-2022.

Can shared in London - big thanks to Tipple. Pours murky orange with a light, creamy white head. Dank, with notes of rich mango, peach, papaya and orange, and lightly bitter. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, further tropical fruits, modest rindy bitterness. Solid.

This beer is a cloudy golden color with a medium ivory white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lace. Resiny hops, tropical fruit and malt aromas. Medium to full body with flavors of piney hops, pineapple, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a lingering fruity hop aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

14 December 2019. At 2nd Great Timternational Beer Tasting. Cheers to Ghent beer crew! Hazy yellow, slowly diminishing, frothy, white head. Aroma of peach, nectarine, lychee, tangerine, yoghurt, lime, faint pine, onion. Taste has sweet peach & tangerine, sourish lime, bitter pine, grapefruit peel & mandarin rind with bready-doughy maltiness. Dryish, floral hoppy finish, piney, more yellow fruit, a tad more dank, with warming liqueurish alcohol. Medium body, oily-creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very good brew, bit 'heavier' to drink.
