The Aromas are easy resin hops with some dry grain and saltines. Flavors are similar to nose, slightly more sweet than bitter with some additional Citrus hops. Good body and the carbonation with a mild bitter finish. Decent enough drinking straightforward American IPA.

12 ounce can from Brookings (SD) Liquor, 8/8/20. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retnetion. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, pale malt, faintest bit of toast. Taste is grapefruit, pineapple, pale malt. Medium bodied, a bit watery, low bitterness.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/18/2019. Big gusher can, lost a couple ounces. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.8%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink for the ABV, with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not aggressive. Great Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo & Citra profile. Very vibrant and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hops; with a great balancing pale/wheat malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering and well made style example. Kind of odd that it gushed with being as fresh as it was, but there weren't any infection off notes.

From a 12 oz. can. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aromas are of tropical fruit and citrus. Flavors are bitter citrus.

Quite hazy peach and copper coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of pure white grape juice with some light, mellow hop notes, a few malty notes and a big juicy scent along with bitterness from the hops and a nice roundy finish. Light-bodied; Strong juicy flavours at first with a huge dose of white grape juice, some lighter and low alpha acid-based hops with a proper balance of lighter malt flavours and only a touch of the grass and dry flavours at the very tail end. Aftertaste shows no bitterness, just a nice juicy bite that shows more white grapes than anything else, and is quite easy to go down with only a touch of dry and herbal notes that get in the way. Overall, a nice enough, very juicy IPA with some nice complexities up front, but a bit of the skewed flavour that you get with all the additional malts and white grape notes. Good to sample, but a bit one-sided and relatively simplistic, considering the style, but nice to have fresh! Draft, 4 ounce sample glass at the brewery. Appearance is a crystal clear gold. Aroma is bright with citrus, melon pulp, and subtle hints of pine. Real fresh. The flavor is a carbon copy of the aroma. Has a light malty backbone with plenty of grapefruit, melon, and a bit of resin. Clean drinking with a lingering light bitterness.

Well above average in my opinion. I can see why they choose to can this. It makes a nice flagship IPA.

Can. A- Grapefruit juice, resin, pine, seaweed. A- Dark golden orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Pine, dank, grassy, grapefruit, peach, melon, slightly bitter, dry. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry bitter finish. O- My first White Elm brew not on tap. Good to see they have started packaging and maintain consistency in quality. Another solid beer and I am always amazed with out accurate their descriptions are. Not a fan of the looks with all the floaties but done well. More people need to experience White Elm.
