12 oz can from Mariano's. Pours rather pinkish with lots of bubbles, like a mimosa. Light smell of currant and general berry. Mild tartness is pretty refreshing, and there's a memory of the currant jelly I've only remembered from restaurant packs in Europe. Count this as a lawnmower beer because that's exactly when I'm having it: after mowing the lawn.

Sample at Daily Growler UA during the Bowling Green Beer Works Columbus Debut event on 02/28/2020. Slightly hazy ruby red color with a medium thin pinkish-white head that burns away quickly to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of berries, funky wheat and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of tart berry, currant, herbal wheat and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a mixed berry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/29/2018. Pours lightly hazy reddish/pinkish golden/orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy black currants, blackberry, raspberry, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of peppercorn, vanilla, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, black currants, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy black currants, blackberry, raspberry, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of peppercorn, vanilla, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy black currants, blackberry, raspberry, fruit skin/seed, plum, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/vanilla/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, black currants, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy, fairly crisp, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited Berliner weisse. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, black currants, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balance of nicely jammy black currants, Lacto complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and impressive style example.

Can.... and yes its tart. It also got a nose that is mildly farmy with a tad of rotten fruit. Then it goes a little hoppy but its never over the top, thank you. Yes, quite agreeable after a few swigs. Even turns off, and on, yummy. Amusing with a medium bitter hop kick. The tartness of this beer makes it almost above average. The eye is quite attractive pinkish pale with a light haze. Overall, its not bad but could do without the bitter followup.
