Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een oranje geel bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige geur. De smaak is hoppig en wat metaal achtig.

Flaska från Belgiuminabox. Disig mörkt gyllenfärgad vätska med medelhögt vitt skum. Lite unken doft med kartong. Fruktig smak, pommac, citrus, torr och träig, platt humle, torr men inte särskilt beska eftersmak. För gammal för att göra sig själv rättvisa. Ok-

A orange beer, a head is big and beige. Aroma has fruitness, fructose, mango. Taste has fruitness, wood, too old. Medium bodied. Too old to find out a full potential.

1 February 2020. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, Kevin, Niels & Cynthia! Clear dark golden, lasting, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, mandarin, grain, plum, herbs & dough. Taste has sweetish mandarin & mango, bitter grapefruit & pine on a grainy-yeasty base, bit doughy, herbal accents throughout, finishing dry, piney hoppy & yeasty. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Belgian Ale with a twist, perhaps good to have with a pasta?

Cette bière répond très clairement aux besoins marketing des brasseurs de se démarquer en y ajoutant tout un lot d’ingrédients plus ou moins exotiques… Et ce, avec des résultats plus ou moins concluants. Ici, ce sont des pates que notre triporteur a ajouté dans le malt. Et tout comme en rajoutant du riz, nous n’obtenons en rien une bière asiatique, l’ajout de pâtes ne donne en rien un accent italien à cette IPA (comme l’étiquette pourrait le laisser penser). Cela ne m'aurait en rien dérangé si cette basta avait été au top, mais il en est rien pour une IPA très moyenne. Pourtant avec Citra et surtout Equanot les aromes sont intéressants, mais leur intensité est trop faible, l'amertume sèche, un peu agressive (IBU de 40 tout à fait convenable), la présence en bouche trop limitée et l'alcool à 4,6% non structurant. Le blond orangé limpide surmonté d’une fine mousse blanc cassé n’est pas trop mal tout de même. Le nez est complexe, bien aidé en cela par l’Equanot, que je trouve quelque peu dispersé dans les arômes mais intéressant : melon, menthe, mangue, résineux, agrume et un léger poivre. L’attaque ne brille pas par son intensité aromatique. Légèrement aqueux et sur l’amertume, on y perçoit tout de même des arômes de mangue, d’agrumes et de poivre. L’intensité aromatique reste insuffisante en seconde bouche même si elle progresse légèrement. Sur une amertume sèche, on y retrouve les arômes présents au nez. Ceux-ci ont cependant toutes les difficultés à imprimer le palais. L’arrière bouche est peu intéressante et astringente sur une amertume peu aromatique légèrement herbacée en mode tonic. Le final reprend cette amertume simple qui retombe de plus très vite. Basta, je préfère les pâtes dans mon assiette.

F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: gold, hazy. A: nice fruity, tropical fruits, bit onion, cheesy, tangerine, mango, spicy. T: malty, backbone, orange, mango, pineapple, spicy, grapefruits, dry on the palate, long bitter finish, medium body and carbonation, nice balanced for the style with spicy touch, good one, enjoyed, 33 cl bottle from Prik&Tik Kampenhout bottle shop in Belgium.

Oranjegeel bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht kruidig met iets van grapefruit, citrus en gras/hooi. Kan de tomaten en olijfolie niet echt terug vinden in de smaak, maar wat maakt het uit, dit is gewoon een goed bier.

Thanks to sharing RB crew. Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Gents Bierfestival 2018. Orage, bright, soapy white head. Nose is dull metallic orange, hay, bland, hay, peel,… Taste is fizzy dull, orange, grainy, I can get tomato only because I wanted to, basic, empty, grain,… Disappointing, no pasta, olive oil, tomato & not a good IPA on top.
