Bottle, 10.2%. Citric and fruity aroma with some berry notes. Clear deep reddish brown colour. Very big stable rocky tan head. The flavour starts off slightly citric and then turns sweetish and fruity. Has a good jam note as of blackberries and perhaps cherries and a elderberries. Low to medium bitterness. Full mouthfeel. Very mellow, also considering the ABV. No alcohol bitterness, and also not much warming alcohol. A bit deceptive.

So, a Belgian dark ale with whisky added. To me it can be the best of all worlds. I have a 33 cl bottle that came from Belgian Happiness, ready now to pour inside of a tulip glass. It appears a dark caramel brown with some redness around the edges. The head is a persistent carpet of yellow-tan, rather fine bubbles. I smell ripe fruit, bread and leather. The drink is red plums, cereal, malt, brown sugar, yellow raisins, red cherries and a touch of booziness. The alcohol is completely covered up. Apparently a bottle conditioned beer, I like that. Nice, not great for a much enjoyed style.

Fles 33clthuis. Pruim, zoet, rood fruit, vol, wat caramel, licht hout, zachte whiskytonen. Fijne balans. (31-7-2022).

Bottle. Color: Hazy dark ruby to copper, beige head. Aroma: Taste: Malty, caramel, Whisky notes. Taste: Malty, caramel malt, spicy notes, Whiskey notes, raisins. Bit boozy and sugary. Moderate sweetness, ightly bitter. Medium body, average carbonation. Finish is going more to the bitter, dry-ish and spicy side. Ok.

750ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, sulphureous head. Yeasty fruity aroma, notes of dark fruit, dark berries, a touch of plum and cherry, blue grapes, yeasty spicy hints of clove, liquorice, liquorice root; very cautious BA hints of butterscotch, honey, salted pistachio, sultana, whiffs of almond. Taste is sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty, yeasty fruity, slightly yeasty spicy, notes of dark fruit, dried dark fruit, dark berries, some plum, cherry, a touch of liquorice, liquorice root, clove, dark caramel underneath; very cautious, subtle BA flavours add banana, honey, sultana, salted pistachio. Creamy, almost a bit slimy, oily texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation counters. Quite complex, expecially due to the very subtle Wild Weasel flavours; I'm curious to see what the Cuvée Clarisse is like in pure state - pretty good one!

Gekocht in de Prik&Tik Bierhandel De Picker in Zele op 11-02-2020. En thuis geproefd op 7-06-2020.
Cuvee Clarisse whisky infused word gebrouwen door brouwerij Wilderen met toevoeging van hun eigen gedestilleerde ‘Wild Weasel’ whisky.
CUVEE CLARISSE WHISKY INFUSED is een helder donker-bruin biertje dat veel beige tot bruinig schuim produceert in de vorm van een gelijkmatige laag met wat grovere bellen tussen. Het blijft sterk aan de glaswand kleven en blijft stabiel, op het eind van uw proefervaring heb je nog steeds een gelijkmatig laagje van ongeveer 1 mm dikte over. Je kan ook veel CO2 verzadiging zien met middelmatig grote belletjes.
HET AROMA:
Karamel-zoet, banaan, dadel, lichtjes kers, wat vijg, moutig, houttinten en natuurlijk een whisky tint. Na een tijdje ook iets van zure appel.
DE SMAAK:
Is vooral karamel-zoet, wat banaan, beetje opgelegde kersen, rozijnen, vijgen, wat geroosterde mout, een houttint, een lichte vanille- en een whisky toets.
HET MONDGEVOEL:
Volle body met een olie-achtige tot volmondige textuur en een meer dan normaal prikkelend koolzuurgas.
DE NASMAAK:
Vloeit lang uit en is ietwat plakkerig, is karamel-zoet, zeer licht hopbitter, de opgelegde kersen gaan naadloos over in wat bitterheid, geroosterde mout, houtig, wat vanille en een whisky toets.
HET TOTAALGEVOEL:
Een complex biertje.
HET VERDICT:
Doet wat denken aan de Gouden Carolus Indulgence Whisky Infused, maar het vineuse ontbreekt hier wat. Heel goed geslaagde Whisky Infused toch, lekker moutig, zoet en daar een goede whisky bij, wat kan een mens meer wensen?
