Cheap can for $2. Pour into a mug is big and black, it appears large and in charge. Very thin scum pond head. My this stuff is so dark, its hard to look away. Smell is malty but not sure if I can pick out any coconut olfactory. First taste is big black stout, almost imperial in taste or should I say pastry? Yea, this stuff should be listed as a pastry stout fersher. Hey, I see tho that RB does not differentiate between pastry and flavored, you know? Relatively smooth without any cloying sweetness and it comes across with some burnt malt attitude. I'm glad it has a lower alky content, makes it easier to drink. Decent pastry beer, but that's probably why its really a flavored stout. Very mild carbonation to the finish. There, you have it.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 9/21/19. Black, thin fizzy brown head, good retention. Aroma of coconut, nuts, roast. Taste is roast, coconut, dark chocolate. Medium bodied, slick and oily, mild bitterness. Solid.

355 ml bottle. Pours murky black, small foamy head, not long lasting. Citrus notes, some coconut, some cigar and vanilla, burnt malt, cocoa. Light dry bittersweetness. Light bodied, watery texture, fizzy carbonated, dry finish. Good!

Bottle. Opaque deep brown to black. Small tan fizzy head. Nose: cream, vanilla, coconut, toasted malts, caramel. Light body. The taste echoes the aroma. Relatively dry. Low bitterness. Watery ending.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 12/6/2017. Pours nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, coconut, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, toffee, smoke, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of milk/dark chocolate, coconut, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, toffee, smoke, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, coconut, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light vanilla/smoke, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, and velvety mouthfeel that is great. Slight sticky hops, chalky roast, and increasing dryness. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a very nice flavored stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the very mildly bitter finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV, with a great mouthfeel. Great balance of rich stout malt complexity and coconut flavorings. Well restrained and never overpowering on the coconut. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft/Fest. A- Black olives, coconut, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, tan head. T- Coconut, mild olives, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Has a weird flavor of black olives. Perhaps it comes from the coconut. Fairly light beer, but just odd. Not bad, but I expected something more along the lines of a liquid Mounds bar from Saugatuck.
Coconut is a little too prevalent for me.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was roasty and bitter with coconut. The flavor was roasty with coconut and semi sweet chocolate. Medium length finish with lingering coconut. Medium bodied and smooth. Decent.

Tap at Next Door. Pretty mellow, kind of pleasant at first. The coconut isn’t overbearing, but the malts aren’t that deep, so it comes off like a porter or even a brown ale. Sweet brown chocolate candy bar beer. I can’t imagine ordering more than one of these. OK.
