The creation of the Saison Dupont Cuvée Dry Hopping goes back to 2010. It is a blond beer, top fermented and just as the traditional Saison Dupont with refermentation in the bottle. The specialty of this Saison is the dry hopping*. Since 2018, a Slovenian variety « Styrian Wolf » has been used which produces the more intensive hop aromas and touches of fruit (in particular passion fruit and pine resin). It became a coppery blond beer, dry and thirst-quenching with a bitterness and soft bitter aftertaste. Our selection of yeasts creates the aromas and bitter taste. A real refermentation in the bottle, which can go on for a long time in your cellar, results in a complex and very aromatic beer.

Bottle, bb 7/22.Cloudy gold with a huge white head. Aroma of dough, oranges, punchy spices and floral notes. Creamy texture despite high carbonation. Fruity with dough before firm spicy bitterness. The usual deal with these - the extra hops are lovely but upset the balance a bit.

2019 edition in the Belgian Beer Discovery Box for Christmas 2020. Pours a hazy, golden colour with a big frothy white cap, very long lasting, leaving some creamy lacing spots. Citrus nose with fresh light cut grass and hints of honey, spices. The Styrian Wolf hops in this version shows up more in the taste giving a touch of strawberries, over the malty brew. Some nice spices blend things up. With time, the strawberry notes do come out in the nose. Fairly dry in the finish. Easy-drinking for sure and the dry-hopping helps not being too rich of a Belgian brew. Nice!

Bottle at home staring the sun down on the roof. Styrian wolf edition. Unclear golden with white head. Soft sweet fruity and malty. Fruity old pineapple, malty dry grain, hay, herbal, grassy, white pepper, and some woolly Mammoth brettiness. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice real beery beer. This just keeps on giving. Like a meaty Orval, saisonyeast burgers, maaan. --- Beer merged from original tick of Saison Dupont Cuvée Dry Hopping Styrian Wolf on 22 Jun 2020 at 22:23 - Score: 8. Bottle from Systembolaget Sundbyberg. Hazy golden/yellow with a large white head. Aroma of floral hops, herbs, yeast and some fruit. The same in the taste. The body was medium as was the bitterness. Quite nice.
