Like all honeymoons, this divine nectar is simply unforgettable. It’s inspired from a distant era where the father of the bride would give his new son-in-law honey-flavoured beer for the first month of marriage. Honey, which completes the bottle refermentation process, is a perfect match for the hoppy bouquet with rich hints of spices, herbs and wildflowers.

12 ounce bottle from John's. Pours a mostly clear orange hue with a large white head. A big bubblegum fruity sweet nose. Toast, big Unibroue yeast, sweet honey, some soft perfume. A bit of heat. Not bad. Pretty good in fact.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a murky orange color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered forever and left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweetish and yeasty with notes of perfume, vague herbs and bubblegum. The flavor was dryish, yeasty and musty with notes of bubblegum, orange, and perfume. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Pleasant.

12 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled on 5/29/2017. Pours hazy golden/orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, apple, white grape, lavender, flowers, coriander, peppercorn, clove, honey, wheat, cracker, bread, light banana/bubblegum, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, apple, white grape, lavender, flowers, coriander, peppercorn, clove, honey, wheat, cracker, bread, light banana/bubblegum, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spice and light herbal/grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, apple, white grape, lavender, flowers, coriander, peppercorn, clove, honey, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a delicious Belgian strong pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink for the ABV. Classic Unibroue house yeast complexity, a unique spice profile, and solid malt backing without being sweet/heavy feeling. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a large off-white foamy head with excellent retention and some good lacing. Aroma of honey and Belgian malt with light yeasty flavours. Taste is a mix of Unibroue yeast with some light yeasty flavours and Belgian malt notes. Body is somewhat full with good carbonation and no carbonation. Nice Belgian style ale but lacking complexity I would expect from this brewery.

Pours a hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The white cap is fluffy, foamy, lasting a long time with soapy lacing. Honey aromas comes out as soon as the cork is off, but then calms down. Saison-like scent present themselves with a grassy touch over citrus notes. Decent bitterness, finishing quickly. Not much sweetness really. Actually, not much flavours I find for an Unibroue beer. Gets a little better with food, as some spices show up, but somewhat disappointing.

Le nez est vraiment typique du brasseur... En bouche, il y a un bel équilibre entre le miel, la levure, un petit côté poivré et même des fleurs. Cette bière est très bonne.
