12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium golden/yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy/pine hops, orange peel, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange peel citrus rind, pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/pine hops, orange peel, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing thorough the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/creamy/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a delicious American pale ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy/pine hops, orange peel, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very well balanced and flavorful, with a nice body from the oats/lactose for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered orange-tan body. Thin, steady, white head. A pleasant modern take on an APA. The lactose really smooths out the whole thing, the orange peel helps keep it vibrant. Sort of like a Cream Ale/APA/Wit hybrid. Unique, good.

Tap at the brewery during GABF week, 2015. Yellow color. Hop aroma and hop flavor, some citrus. medium palate, and bitter with hops that is accentuated by the orange peel.

Can. A- Bitter, oranges, soft. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Oranges, subtle citrus, bitter, pine, creamy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- I kind of expected a Belgian IPA taste from this one. Not so much, but that’s what I get for always expecting. Tasted like a soft IPA with not a ton going on although the oats and lactose really gave it a creamy nice mouthfeel.

12 oz can purchased at Metcalf Discount Liquor on 135th Street in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a pretty, hazed golden yellow with a one inch well formed off white head. The aroma is grassy hops along with clean cracker malt. Nice balance of aromas. The taste is the hay grass of the hops, along with cracker malt, earth and a touch of peanut shell. Pleasant subdued bitterness to the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied, with medium carbonation and the clean softly bitter finish. Solid, well made Pale Ale.

Tap at the brewery - lightly.hazy orange - frothy, lasting head - the hops and the orange peel work well together in the nose - creamy texture, with citric and moderately acidic hoppiness up front, a mellow malt base that is mildly.sweet - lactose adds an interesting texture, but not a lot of additional sweetness - orange peel adds a tangy finish, and an overall bright, zesty character - a nice quaffer for springtime.

Sample at the taproom. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied and creamy with flavors of oranges, hops and toasted malt. The finish is vaguely creamsicle-like with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall.
