On tap at Slow’s Detroit. Pours a clear gold with an amber hue with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy grass and light citrus with bread and grains backing. Flavor has earthy grains and grass with earthy citrus underlying.

Expensive bottle from a cheese store in frankenmuth, heheh. Pale bubbly pour is entertaining, all that foaming and rolling carbonation. Creates a plateau above the edge of the glass. Slight perfume nose. Big bold beefy bitter blasting bullshit. Terribly on style. I have no respect for it, just like its lacking for me. Rude, so bitter, radical, so bitter, racing bitter cloying cutthroat. If you like cunning IPA, you gotta tries this big brain brandishing beer, ignore my numbers, its dead on. Hate this style. Brazen. Rude ass mah stah fah.

Rich, super hazy amber and copper coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall rich off-white and tan head. Aroma of alcohol, grain, rich hops, some toffee and caramelised sugars, a good dose of lighter alpha acid hops and quite a bit of malt noticeable. Aftertaste is rich, but more of a sweet and syrupy note with some alcohol than any sort of IPA or hop-centric beer. Overall, a decent enough beer and way less of any IPA than more of a rich amber ale or a slightly more malty APA. Nice to try, but when presented with other options, this one is passable. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Siciliano's in Grand Rapids, Michigan on on 13-June-2017 for US$1,79 by my Dad, sampled at home in Washington when my Dad left for Europe - Thanks Dad!

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 4/23/2017. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance. Slight lingering hop astringency through the glass, but not overwheming. Moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 7.5%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; despite the aggressively bitter/drying finish. Nice dank/vibrant hop complexity; nice balancing malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering.

tap at the brewery - This IPA smells of citrus and tropical fruit. It has a tasty, bitter, citrusy flavor and a medium body. Lingering bitterness. Really good.

I bought a bomber at the brewery and was disappointed. Partially my fault: I thought I was buying a cold bottle and didn’t realize it was warm until after I opened. Also, I noticed it was more than 6 months old. A 6-month old IPA sold at the brewery? Anyway, it was underwhelming even after I chilled it. Aroma and tastes described in other reviews were only barely there. Had a bready, bitter finish.
