Very good & quite dense just off-white head, stable and leaving lacerings over faintly veiled, bright orange beer with fine, lively carbonation. Spicy hops' nose, citrus, orange, but also pickles, hint at vinegar, if only mildly. Bitter, dryish flavour wirh a fiery MF. Again quite spicy. Main taste seems to fall dead, but then aftertaste builds up, again spicy-citrussy. There is a suggestion of sweeter malts underneath, but it gets no further than emphasizing the fruity orangeflavour. Medium bodied, and quite slick to oily. Medium to good carbonation. I'm perfectly happy with Chevallier malts, but in this beer, the hops set the beacons.

Barrel aged Belgian strong ale intended as an English style strong ale, bottle at Gollem in Antwerp. Egg-white, thick, frothy, papery lacing, stable head, hazy golden orange blonde robe. Aroma of soggy peanuts, dried apricot, marmalade, vanilla-ish wet oak, dried banana, apple, hay, some chewing gum. Sweet onset, apple peel, candied banana and peach, crisp with a bubblegummy side note, fizzy carbonation, smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly, 'cleanly' bready malt base, light toasty bitterish touch, dryish finish with light woody-tannic effect adding some subtlety and complexity, hint of warming alcohol but nothing bothersome or astringent; caramelly and orange peel-like notes, respectively from the malts and the hops, remain predominant. The wooden barrel aspect could have been more pronounced for me, but otherwise this is a very decent, technically flawless, relatively 'easygoing' Dochter beer.

Sampled at zbf 2018. Thnx for sharing, everyone! Pours unclear blonde. No real head. Smell is full, bit esters. Almost a diacetyl stickyness to it as well. Taste is full. Bit sweet. Some esters, sticky sweetness. But I don't think this is actual diacetyl. Creamy mf, ever so slightly bitterness.

Sample at ZBF 2018, thanks Belgian RB table.

Hazy blond with thin head. Compared to the cask version this is less dry. Again slight sweet citrus in the finish. The lower temperature and light carbonation aid the drinkability. Really easy to drink.

Hazy blond with thin soapy head. Aroma and flavour have a nice malt profile. Slightly sweet. Some bready notes. Really pleasant dry taste. Light sweet citrus notes in the background.

Thank you for sharing RB People! Sampled draft + cask @ ZBF 2018. Cask: Dark amber, small head. Nose is mellow sour, old grainy, grapefruit peel, ancient grains. Taste is low sour, fermenting overripe fruit, very heavy ancient grains, chewy, thick band-aid, mouldy orange but also sugar, toffee, caramel, massive thick bread. Preferred it on cask. Tap looks touch darker. Sour vinous, oak, ancient grain,.. Taste is ancient grain, band-aid, old orange peel, wood, caramel, bread. Really unique taste with so much happening at once. Bit confusing but taste, very different & very DvdK at the same time.
