Typical of Crowdsurf in a Rubber Dinghy is its fresh character with soft spiciness and light acidity due to the yeast aromas. It is a summer beer that quenches you without being blown away by overwhelming aromas. Because in our opinion, that is how a saison should be: dry, sparkling and refreshing, ideal for a summer festival!

Blonde beer, nice white and steady head. Aromas: flowers, some orange, lots of spices. Flavour: biscuit, spices. A little sharp. Bitter, not really dry. Finishes a bit too sharp. Saison style is recognizable.

Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. Hazy yellow in colour, with a billowy white head. Floral hops, some stone fruit sweetness, white bread malts, a touch of spice, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

T: light malty backbone, grassy, bit lemon, yeasty, typical for the style, light body, bit higher carbonation, good one, enjoyed.

330ml bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours misty golden yellow, good brilliant white head. Aroma has light saison sweetness, light spice. On the palate, it's a nice table saison, not too much depth of flavour, some soft citrus, but it's crisp and fresh. Not bad.

The second one in this series (already - this Bucketlist programme seems to go hard), sampled at Gents Bierfestival. Egg-white, moussy, lacing, medium thick head, misty yellow-straw blonde robe. Aroma of green apple, soap, unripe pear, raw white cabbage but a whiff of DSM as well, apricot, plastic. Fruity onset, pear and green banana, medium carbonated, soapy, cereally middle with a plastic-like note to it, cereally, some grassy hop bitterness in the finish, lightly lingering. More a standard Belgian blonde than a true saison even in the classic Belgian sense of the word, considering previous beers from these guys I must admit I expected better. Too bad the special editions of Troubadour Magma have been discontinued in favor of this Bucketlist series, which so far has failed to truly impress.
