It's no mystery as to why this beer tasted like liquid choccy digestives. But we'll give you a clue; this dark brew contains heaps upon heaps of chocolate and biscuit malt in the lusciously rich mash.

On closer inspection as this fantastically quaffable porter warms up it reveals cold brew coffee, oaty granola and an abominable amount of chocolate biscuits.

330 ml. can split with SinH4. Black / brown, solid tanned head. Nose is grainy bread, powdery, blueberry hop, grainy, almost liquorice. Taste is sweet liquorice, weak bodied, dark bread, low hops, lacking some body milk chocolate, dark bread, mocha, low bodied. Weak, passible, classical UK.

Egham Beer Fest, 30/03/18. Light choc malt aroma. Black. Very thin white head. Taste matches the aroma. Thin. Light. Flat. Short. Still, drinkabke but a bit boring.

Cask at the 29th Egham beer festival, Egham, Surrey. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, hint of coffee, slight bitterness. Very nice porter.

From cask. Pours pitch black. Small brown head. Aroma is roasted dark malty. Breadish to chocolate. Roasted dark malty, sweet, breadish. Dark malty. Roasted and sweet malty. Breadish and roasted finish.

Canned 330ml. -from Pivny Raj Bratislava. Black coloured, medium sized brownish head, pleasant chocolate and mild coffee nose. Light roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee and cocoa powder with dryish finish. Smooth and pretty good porter.

Can from flavourly.com. Dark cola like colour with a thin tan head. Aroma had roasted malt and light chocolate. Taste light bitter and light sweet. Full body.

Cask at Thomas Rigby's. Pours near black with a chocolate brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has roasted malts and light choclate with some earthy dark grains backing. Flavor has roasted malts and a touch of chocolate with roasted malts and dry finish.

Tap at Salon piva. Moderate carbonation, med-med-full body. Pleasant silky texture. Rather sweet, but stays in balance. Malt centered, full caramelly chocolaty roasty range. Easy drinking. Very good.

On tap at The Volley. A dark brown beer with a small most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of roasted bitter malt, coffee and lactose. Taste of roasted bitter malt, coffee Lactose, low carbonation.
