It's no mystery as to why this beer tasted like liquid choccy digestives. But we'll give you a clue; this dark brew contains heaps upon heaps of chocolate and biscuit malt in the lusciously rich mash.

On closer inspection as this fantastically quaffable porter warms up it reveals cold brew coffee, oaty granola and an abominable amount of chocolate biscuits.

Keg @ Gas Works, Manchester. Clouded darker brown with a thin head. Has a fair mix of dark and roasted malts, with a crispness to them.

Gravicask at Tuckers Maltings Beer Festival. Lacing rings down the glass from a low beige head. Deep rosewood coloured body. Cocoa and doughy smell. Sweet chocolate malty flavours joined by dark dough. Hints of dark fruity end. Okay porter. (Newton Abbot 28.04.2017).

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 19 April 2017) Dark brown colour, almost black, with foamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, caramel and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, dark bread, raisins, dark fruit and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and quite a chocolatey porter. Very nice.

Cask at the Reading Beerfest. Brown-black. Really nice chocolatey roasty porter with a hint of blackberry. Nothing fancy or unusual, just full-flavoured and very satisfying. Nice one.

Cask-conditioned at Bristol Beer Festival, 24/3/2017. Dark brown in colour, with a thin, beige, head. Sweetish, toasty malts, plain chocolate, some fondant sweetness, leading to a dryish finish. An enjoyable porter.
