Bottle from Booths Supermarket, Media city. Dark amber-orange with a thin head. Dense textured pale ale with a nice dryness as far as its style is concerned. It tastes a little heavier than the near 5% that it is, with light fruit notes including orange. Its spiciness is low.

Sample at the brewery taproom. Clear brownish-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Aroma of fruit, hops and rye. Light to medium body with flavors of rye malt, piney hops and fruit. The finish is rye and hops. Decent overall.

12 fl oz bottle bought at Sam The Beer Man, Binghamton NY. Unclear orange in the glass, small head. Mid floral hopy on the nose. Taste starts with hopy bitterness, grainy, less fruity, some resin. English malts in the background. Relative high carbonated. Long lasting bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Tap bowsers. Clear light orange in color. A little sweet on the nose. First taste is mild dull and then a few seconds later it goes big bitter IPA. What else can be said but typical ubiquitous IPA nature all the way. Finish is same as middle, impressive IPA kick with long lasting bitter finish. Never impressed with this preservative style, go figger.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish and tart with citric acid and Sweettart candies. The flavor was dry, tart and chalky with sweettart candy. Medium lenght finish. Medium body. Meh.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 6/1/2016. Pours slightly hazy orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Awesome appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon/orange rind, pine, toasted biscuit, spicy rye, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/piney hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Rye IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Keg pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is orange brown with no sparkle, a tiny head and mild lacing. Aroma is subtle bready malt. Taste has a bit of caramel and corn chip, a bit hard to define. Palate is more light than medium with lively carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter finish. Overall, nothing spectacular but decent. A balanced IPA to be sure without killing you with hops.

Purchased a 12 oz. bottle at CBC, Portsmouth location. Easily the best label Shipyard has ever come up with. Amber / orangeish type color. I let this get close to room temperature before I drank it and it has a weak aroma, mild fruit and very weak caramel.

The flavor isn’t very exciting; crystal and caramel malt base with a medium body that falls on the leaner side. The hops don’t really come through at all. Just a hint of fruit. The label is a tribute to the movie Little Shop of Horrors and is a nice marketing gimmick. To bad it’s to sweet without much hop flavor, disappointed
