Bottle. Golden color with a nice 2.5 finger head. Aroma is fruity. Taste is tropical fruits with hints of mango and grapefruit, biscuits and malt with only a slight bitter finish.

Gag Jr's Liquor Shop in New Haven. Yea, got the whole 6-pack for $6... not the usual price. Also got a free pint can of some carrot/apple beer/something alcoholic that I opened, tasted, offered to my companions with an "enthusiastic" "mmmm, its good", and then poured out; the can is gone, so I don't know what it was. Flavor of this one is citrus peel, tropical fruit, grassy finish.

12oz bottle. Probably the best of the Hatter series that I have tried. Rather delicate for the ABV. Decent hop depth, with some nice juiciness. Unfiltered tan-orange body. Steady creamy white head laces up the glass. Modern, with classical sensibilities. Good.

Tap. Pours crystal clear are deep golden orange, medium of white head, creamy, good lacing. Aroma is dank and tropical, passionfruit, light cat piss, stone fruit, pot, a bit floral. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, juicy, dank and exotic. Light plus body, a bit oily. Really solid

bottle - Pours hazy copper and smells of citrus, tropical fruit, and malt. It tastes assertively bitter but also has a big, sweet malt presence. There are citrus notes along with more obvious tropical fruit character than I think I’ve noticed in any other beer. There’s maybe a bit too much sweetness, but this medium bodied brew is still very enjoyable.

Bottle/Fest. A- Tropical fruits, citrus, hoppy. A- Amber color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Juicy citrus, bitter. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- Lots of citrus in here. A little malty sweetness that I think may have taken away from it but still alright.

12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/26/15. Pours orange with a frothy off-white head. Fairly strong lacing is present on the glass. Aroma is quite sweet and malty, almost a candied sugar component along with the fruity hops. Gets very sweet flavor-wise as well. Felt to sweet for me overall, and lacked the hop lunch I wanted it to have. Decent feel, though it gets a little cloying. Minimally dry for an IPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazed orange amber with fine particles visible. Potent tropical fruit, citrus, and berry aromas. Very juicy tropical and citrus fruit flavor with a bit of grassiness, and a bit of toasty biscuit in the very back. Honestly I’m not too big a fan of Mad Hatter, but with these hops this is really a great IPA. Damn.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/1/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, papaya, mango, lemon, light pine, honey, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, papaya, mango, lemon, light pine, honey, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, peach, papaya, mango, lemon, light pine, honey, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropica; hop and moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice balanced IPA. All around great robustness, complexity, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
