An Irish style red (amber) beer. Light in finish but bold in taste. Melanoidin malt is added for the red color and the spicy finish comes through from the Chinook hops.

Quite hoppier than i expected. The malts are muted and really blasted but the hops. Some very light doughy malts, with loads of pine, and bitterness. The finish is a touch maltier, and some caramels come through, but really not what i was expecting. Way too hoppy for the style.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 2/22/2015. Pours slightly hazy reddish amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of dark/bready malt and fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, toast, brown bread, raisin, plum, apple, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness, balance, and complexity of dark/bready malts, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Irish red ale. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

This brew is a hazy reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and slight hops. Light body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and a bit of overripe fruit. The finish is short and malty. Just average overall.

This ale poured a nice dark copper colour with a qiuckly disappearing head. To the nose there was scents of hops, sour grapes/citric acid and sweet malt. First sip was nice and alot less bitter than I expected due to the hopps in the nose. Very floral flavour with a hoppy finish and the palate was bitter sweet with the floral/hopp flavour lasting. Better than expected.

Clearish fiery orange body, thick cream head. Sweet cerealy, toasty aroma with caramels, grassy hops, and earthy esters. Sweet body with sugared Cheerios, toast, caramel, and brown sugar, backed by grassy, bitter hops. Very nice, with a strong flavor profile and smooth, creamy mouthfeel.

2004 draught. Supposedly, you are supposed to drink this one first on an empty palate and you really get a layered taste effect and can pick out the hops quite well. I didnt have this one first though so it didnt work. The beer also didn’t taste good. Watery death, that’s about all I have to say about this one. It’s reddish-amber, clear, barely any aroma. Extra light bodied. No one I was with enjoyed this one.
