bottle - Pours light amber and smells of spicy yeast, mild citrus, and bready malt. It tastes sweet with yeast spice and a little fruity character. It’s medium bodied and overall average or a little better.

12 oz. bottle thanks to Eric S. Clear Amber color with some lasting white head. Aroma shows weak yeast, fruit that is almost like banana mixed with a pear note. The body is thin with a dry texture. Earthy hints with some fruit. This is a simple brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a caramel amber with an off-white head. Yeasty clove and bubble gum aroma, a bit of citrus peel. Yeasty flavor mixes with herbal citrus. Works well.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/17/2014. Pours slightly hazy orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, light bubblegum, toast, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, light bubblegum, toast, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, light banana/bubblegum, pepper, clove, toast, biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice and unique saison. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. I bit heavier on the malt flavor than I expected, but still has some nice saison flavor. A nicely enjoyable offering.
