12oz bottle pours with a nearly clear gold body that supports a brief off white head. The aroma offers up banana, cloves and bubble gum and yeast where a slight honey sweetened malty wheat note flutters in the breeze off in the distance. The taste starts both prickly with carbonation and soft with sweetness. I get apples, cloves, honey and yeast flowing into a modest degree of sweet malty wheat. Decent.

Sample at the taproom. Clear golden color with a medium ivory white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Aroma of herbal yeast, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy yeast, doughy malt and subtle cloves. The finish is herbal and spicy with a touch of fruit left in the aftertaste. Decent overall.

Got in a trade with swingracex. 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with decent retention, that reduces to a ring of lace. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, pear, apple, white grape, banana, wheat, bread, clove, light pepper, bubblegum, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of pale malt and fruity/earthy yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, white grape, banana, wheat, bread, clove, light pepper, bubblegum, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light amount of bready tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, white grape, banana, wheat, bread, clove, light pepper, bubblegum, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast and pale malt flavors; with crisp malt/yeast/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Belgian pale ale. Good balance and robustness of pale malt and fruity/earthy yeast flavors; and extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Plenty of pale malts, dashes of citrus, hay and cereal. Nothing really wrong with this one, it’s just pretty simple and not especially exciting. Pleasant to drink.

bottle pours hazy gold with a medium white head. Aroma is crisp pale malts and a citrus/estery note that is kind of hard to place. Flavor is crisp and clean pale malt, crystal and cereals. Ends with a nice green apple fruity tart yeast flavor. Very refreshing.

Slightly hazy golden and copper coloured body with a thin, very fast-dying one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of light yeast, bread, coriander seed, a touch of lemons and curacao and a bit of whole oranges. Medium-bodied; Assertive yeastie flavour with some wheat, a little candy sweetness and a hint of alcohol peeking through. Aftertaste is mostly sweet with a good citrus taste, some lighter spices and a bit of complexity - nothing bitter nor agressive here. Overall, a nicely crafted summer beer with a lot of flavour, but not a heavy body nor deep flavours to weigh down the mouth. Nice to try if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tustin, California on 01-August-2012 for US$2.29 sampled at home in Washington on 22-August-2012.

On tap. Pours with a clear golden yellow body with a massive white head that fades. Aromas are tart, lactic, jolly rancher, tart apple, grainy and ginger. Odd. Flavors are strange too. Tart, apple, 4vg/clove, apple, coriander and carrot cake (strong carrot flavor). Medium acidity, low alcohol. Lively carbonation, dry, and mildly tart.
