Twisted Kipper is our expressive and aromatic IPA, with a De Kromme Haring twist. Not only do we put loads of aromatic hops in this beer, we also ferment it with Sacch. Trois yeast. This is one of our favourite yeasts as it creates wonderful and complex fruity esters. These lock in extremely with all the hop flavours. Twisting this kipper in spectacular ways!

Bottle from Gedeelde Vreugde - many thanks, Anke! Best before: 3/2019. Pours hazy dark orange with a small, slowly dissipating, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of mellow melon, overripe pineapple, green banana, mango, biscuit, olive oil. Taste is a weird mix of sweetish spoiled fruits (melon, mango, lychee, pineapple) and bitter stonefruit & herbs with a biscuity & yeasty base, some vegetable oil in the back. Dry, grapefruity & earthy hoppy finish, resinous almost, lingering mellow fruit & yeast. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. I can appreciate the 'twists' this one takes but the overall mix of flavours goes haywire. Not my thing.

Endelig RBHD-samling igjen, og denne gangen ombord på Fridtjofen. 0,33 flaske: klar gylden med ok skum. Tydelig aroma og fin smak av overmoden ananas, tørkede tropiske frukter, lyse bær, mynte/eukalyptus og mild citrus. Lys, fin citrusbitterhed i eftersmagen. Forfriskende og lettdrikkelig.
