Twisted Kipper is our expressive and aromatic IPA, with a De Kromme Haring twist. Not only do we put loads of aromatic hops in this beer, we also ferment it with Sacch. Trois yeast. This is one of our favourite yeasts as it creates wonderful and complex fruity esters. These lock in extremely with all the hop flavours. Twisting this kipper in spectacular ways!

Slightly hazy orange beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: quite some tropical fruit, passion fruit, ripe mango, bit of pineapple, canned peaches. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, tropical fruits, citrus, orange peel, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: malty, lots of grapefruit, hoppy, bit grassy, very bitter and dry finish.

Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB 01-2019. Almost clear golden to orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of citrus and flowery hops. Medium bitterness, flowery, bit pine. Again, Kromme Haring delivers and they start to become one of my favorite Dutch brewers, for as far as they already werent. Lovely brew!

Tap at Foeders, Amsterdam, love this place by the way! 17th January 18. Pours dark straw, nice head. Aroma is musky, some fruit. Taste is citrus, chewy, fruit, then some malt and a bitter fruity finish. Good.

Draft at Foeders, Amsterdam. Fairly hazy orange with a big white head. Aroma of resinous hops, citrus, fruits and caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled from draft at Foeder's bottleshare 28 September 2017. Hazy golden blond color. White-ish head. Aroma's: resinous, red fruit. Retronasal it's fruit, bitterish. Flavor is moderate bitter, a bit weird, woody? Medium bodied. Long finish, dry, quite bitter.

Keg at the brewery post borefts. A hazed golden yellow a fine white head. Halo of off white. Aroma is earthy grains, lemon, straw, bitter lime. Flavour is composed grainy, straw, pithy lemon, grassy citrus. Palate is grainy, highish carbonation, drying finish.

On tap at De Kromme Haring, Utrecht, Netherlands, Saturday 23rd September 2017. Mid gold with a slim white head. Nice busy bitterness, I get some heat though I suspect that may be the Nachos. Pleasant beer, hoppy but not aggressively so. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.4
