Tap at Trappeze Pub, Athens GA pours huez red/ruby thin and quickly disappearing head. taste and aroma, lots of sweet raspberries and honey, light to medium carbonation with hints of fruit tartness in the finish. Overall palate has some boozy notes and syrupy/coating mouthfeel.

750ml dusty bottle. This melomel pours with a clear reddish-purple body and no legs or head/lace. Looks like Welsch’s Grape Juice in my glass. Aroma of sweet honey, tannins, raspberry, grape and strawberry. Taste is sweet with grape and raspberry, a slight minerally note, and the classic honey/yeast profile that runs through all of Redstone’s meads. Very light effervescence, refreshing mouthfeel.

A red mead. The aroma is sweet and dominated by black berries. The flavor is sweet with stron notes of black berries and only light notes of honey. The alcohol is felt along the edges of the tongue.

WBF-Raleigh. Clear light red body with no head. Sweet goney and raspberry aroma. Sweet slightly tart raspberry flavor with nice carbonation.

bottle - Pours reddish-pink with light carbonation. The honey and raspberry aroma is fairly mild. The flavor is mostly of tart raspberry. Smooth and easy drinking, it was refreshing and enjoyable enough.

On Tap at Pelican Pacific city OR. Pours out a Purple with almost no head. Has Raspberry arom and tast. Very tasty. The best Beery drink i have had i would have to say.

Thanks to kp or was it aracauna for sharing this at the room tasting following the RFD tasting. Clear diluted cherry red with no head. Fresh berry aroma, little to no honey. Light and fruity, not overly sweet.

Dark pink in color with noticeable carbonation. Aroma of raspberry and grapes with some alcohol. Raspberry and very sweet in flavor with a little hint of alcohol. Decent mead, but not outstanding.

On tap at Redbones and then bottled at Sunset Grille. Having tried this twice now, I can definitely say it’s not a syrupy, cloying mess of a fruit mead. Quite dry, though still very up front with the raspberry flavor. The finish is probably the best part now, with a pure honey shot, light farmy/grassy notes and some light alcohol tones. A strawberry rhubarb to light chartreuse in the glass, it is actually on the lighter/thinner side for a mead, leaving less than substantial legs. Still a touch of bubbles left in it. Dosent seem fully polished and rounded yet, probably due to its young age. Has that sharp, yeast biproduct flavor that tastes kind of mineralesque and kind of like household chemicals (I’m guessing it’s a yeast biproduct, though it could be something else, but it does seem to appear in young meads). Bit of orange rind and cinnamon, fairly loose overall, but still respectable and has a clear and pleasant dose of honey in it.
