Our chums at clapton craft were in the hunt for a rich American IPA and chose our sleepy woods to brew it in. We took Citra, for its unrelenting juicy and pithy tones, and Simcoe, because of its fire pine and stone fruit flavors. A generous amount of wheat in the malt bill provides a hefty body, and fermentation on London fog adds its own stone fruit esters and rounds off this delicious brew.

440ml can bought as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Darker gold, pretty hazy with a small film of off-white head. Malty aroma, oranges, slightly piney. Bittersweet taste, lots of malt with the bitterness spreading to the finish without ever taking over. More citrus. Thick body with dialled back carbonation. Very decent.

Canned (from Alko Web). Hazy orangeish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, some nectary and wooden tones with mild sweet malts. Flavour is floral, nectary and some wooden tones with mild sweet malts and some slight grains. Surprisingly big biting wooden and herbal bitterness in the finish.

Can from the brewery online shop. Appearance - cloudy orange to brown with a generous, slightly off-white head. Nose - orange and apricot. Taste - just a huge orange note, from fruit, to pith and zest. Palate - light bodied. Creamy middle. Dry, pithy bitterness on the finish. Overall - it grew on me.

440ml Can sophiesbeerstore.co.uk. Pours a glowing misty orange, proud white head. Aroma of orange wine gums, pine, citrus. Taste continues, well-carbonated with with prominent orange zest, grapefruit and pineapple hints, soft malt body, strong bitterness. A little disjointed but likeable.

Can at home. Hazy yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, a good solid hoppiness but not the best or nicest hops I've ever had. Good solid bitterness but also a hint of green plants in the distance. Alright.
