Op & Top is Brouwerij de Molen's hoppy blond session ale. A beer to replace your all-evening lager. This is very easy going, refreshing, hoppy and thirst quenching. Same as a lager, but Op & Top has flavor as well ;) Flavor indication: Malty, herbal, citrus Translates as On top & the best or something like At its best

Mineral, hoppy, herbal aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel. Mineral tingly tongue feeling. Medium bitterness, though somewhat outmastered by the spritziness.

Pineapple and lillies on the nose, very light oaty malt in the background. Clear amber, thick sticky billowy head. Intensely floral flavor initally, bitter marigold, with lemon flesh accents and a lemon zest finish. Lacks British malt or hop character. Delicious beer, not representative of a bitter. More like an APA.

bottle @ homùe, bottled 24 / 2 / 2012 , today is october 31, 2012. so almost a year. pours very normal ( orange , fast fading foam) and also smell is very basic ( typical de molen hoppy smell - starting to see what everyone means by that - but hey, its my second or even first favourite brewerie on this date, so thats not bad at all to me . very viving foam, very hoppy, yet ’heavier’ than an IPA. an IPA is more refreshing to me, while i would call this a heavy hopped beer ( if that makes any scence) it hasnt got this lightness and extreme drinkability ( well its pretty damn drinkable still ) as a IPA does. i like this but its kinda what i expected of it. nothing special, just a random, good made beer by the molen. yet i’m always glad when i’m not dissapointed so cheers do this

Flaska på Bishop Arms. Tappdatum september 2011, enligt etikett. Riktigt avslaget skum. Doft av svunna tider när denna flaskas innehåll var nytt. Smakar riktigt, riktigt avslaget.

Draught at La Fine Mousse, Paris
Hazy amber color; huge creamy head. Nice hop aroma, some hop fruitiness. Lack of carbonation after all that foam; good malt flavor, some caramel, good bitterness with delicate hop qualities. Good.

330mL bottle, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of very light English hops and biscuity malts to back - very subtle nose. Flavour is very restrained and subtle, with some citrusy hops and cereal malts. Pretty banal, as expected, but also decently balanced and unobtrusive. Decent.

Medium shiny very white head. Slightly hazy body with light carbonation. Earthy very ripe tropical fruit aroma with dusty buttery floral notes. Dry-sweetish earthy ripe tropical fruit and strawberry taste with buttery earthy notes. MId-to-full body. Mild, soft, dusty mouthfeel. Dryish mealy earthy tropical fruit aftertaste with dusty grassy notes. Nice, drinkable, and very unusual. (0.4l draft at Amundsen, Oslo.)
