2, 3 and 4 year old lambic with Schaarbeekse and Gorsem cherries. 18 month maceration in pinot noir barrels. Due to the extended maceration, the beer underwent a spontaneous malolactic fermentation, making the beer softer on the palate and richer in the body. Following an old kriek lambic recipe from 1907, Ceylon cinnamon sticks were added to the barrels. The result is a smooth and rich winterkriek.

Dark red purple with a pink head. Aroma of super rich intense cherry, oak, a deep funk and soft, perfectly balanced cinnamon notes showing but not overwhelming the fruit. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate sour. Above medium bodied with an almost thick texture, there must be so much fruit used in this. Light carbonation finishes it off intensifying the flavours. Another beautiful beer from Bokke, as if I expected anything else..

750 ml bottle at Ammutsøn, 2017 vintage, bottled Dec. 2018. Dark ruby body, with a big, frothy, pink head. Lovely aroma of jammy sweet-sour cherries, dark berries, wood, red wine, subtle funk, subtle cinnamon as it warms. Tastes quite similar, with more sweet cherry. Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth, moderate sweet, slightly acidic, medium dry, wooden, a bit vinous, with dark grapes, dark berries. Very tasty! So smooth and balanced, with loads of beautiful, diverse fruits from the cherries and the wine barrel. The cinnamon is almost gone, only slightly noticeable as it warms up. Not among my favorite Bokkes, but lovely stuff. Score: 9 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

Hapu, võrdlemisi magus, kirss, kirsi kivid, natuke äädikat. Väga mellow. Lõpus on kirsikivi mõrudus. Väga hea.

My oh my, another stunning Bokke blend. Very deep, red colour. Big smell of cherries with some cinnamon, christmassy. Taste is nicely sour, wood, but intensily jammy and fruity. Cinnamon is there, but balanced, and counters the intense cherries. Gorgeous.

Bottle pour @ MBWAC 2020, Copenhagen. Funky, tart and sourish with some cherries, mulled wine (glogg) notes, spices, cinnamon, wood, oak and farmyard. Quite christmasy. Super well balanced, this is actually really good.
